เอกสารการพัฒนาผลงาน และภาพถ่ายเก่า

ครั้งหนึ่ง มณเฑียร บุญมาเคยได้ศึกษาถึงองค์ประกอบในส่วนต่างๆ ของสถูป-เจดีย์ในโบราณสถาน เพื่อพัฒนาผลงานชุดสำคัญอย่าง Stupa Series และ Pagoda Series สำหรับนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้ทางโครงการจึงได้ร่วมมือกับทาง มณเฑียร อาเตอลิเยร์ นำเสนอเอกสารการจดบันทึก ภาพถ่ายเก่า และแบบร่างผลงานที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงระหว่างการค้นคว้า รวมถึงเอกสารข้อเขียนที่พัฒนาแนวคิดขึ้นเพื่อผลงานชุดดังกล่าว
กระบวนการศึกษาของมณเฑียรได้เข้ามาเป็นสะพานอันสำคัญ ที่เชื่อมโยงศิลปกรรมโบราณ ศาสนสถาน และงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน และยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึง การเชื่อมโยงระหว่างศิลปะสองยุคสมัยที่ต่างก็เป็นรากฐาน และเป็นข้อสังเกตระหว่างกันและกันตั้งแต่ในอดีตมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน หลากรวมไปถึงโครงการนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้ด้วยเช่นกัน

At Wat Phra Rup Museum
At one time, Montien Boonma undertook an intensive study of the architectural components of stupas and chedis within ancient temple sites, forming the foundation for his significant Stupa Series and Pagoda Series. For this exhibition, the project collaborates with Montien Atelier to present archival materials from that period of research, including handwritten notes, historical photographs, preparatory sketches, and written texts that articulate the conceptual development behind these works.
Boonma’s research process serves as an important bridge that links ancient artistic heritage, sacred architecture, and contemporary art. It also reveals the dialogue between two artistic eras that have long informed and observed one another, from the past through to the present, and including the very framework of this exhibition project.
